On Monday, February 6 at 4:17 am, Türkiye’s southern region was hit by a major earthquake of 7.8 magnitude. The earthquake destroyed thousands of buildings in 10 cities of the region. There are already around 10,000 dead and close to 30,000 injured, which is only expected to increase unfortunately. In the face of such a major catastrophe, we are holding an “Interfaith Prayer for the Victims of the Earthquake in Türkey and Syria.” The event will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 6:30 pm at ISNF Masjid An-Noor at 745 Heim Rd. Getzville, NY. The program is organized by Buffalo United for Peace, Islamic Society of Niagara Frontier,, Muslim Public Affairs Council of WNY, and the Network of Religious Communities.
